Location: Houston, TX
Department: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Pay Rate: $50 - $75 / hour

• Full-time/Part-time

• Nights/Day/Weekend

• An associates degree or BNS with NCLEX licensure in nursing is required

$5,000 sign-on bonus for those who qualify

 

Summary:

​

- Provides direct patient care in an intensive care setting at a proficient level, in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice with the organization's policies, values, and mission. Monitors the patient to maintain a safe environment, optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.

Job Duties:

- Observe and assess patients' clinical condition, recognizing and reporting significant changes indicative of complications as soon as possible.

-Handles critical and highly stressful situations, reacting decisively with efficiency and composure.

-Conducts initial patient assessments, develops nursing care plans based on identified patient needs, coordinates with ancillary services to ensure care delivery, and documents all plans, assessments, and care provided.

-Responds to life-threatening situations by using nursing standards and treatment protocols.

-In a technically complex environment, provides critical care nursing to a complex high acuity patient population

-Ability to administer oxygen, IV fluids, blood transfusions, prescribed medications, and titrate medications according to hospital policy.

-Provide post-procedure and post-operative recovery care

-Within the professional scope of practice, provide complex and comprehensive professional nursing services for various diagnoses for patients of all ages.

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years of experience 

 State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).

 BLS

 ACLS

 Preferred:

 Bachelor's degree in nursing

 CCRN

The pay range for this position is: $50 - $75/ hour. Pay is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience.
